The Church Of Rock And Roll - Tokyo - November 16th  

For the first time in history the legendary rock club The Church of Rock And Roll from Stockholm Sweden, will be entering the Tokyo club scene in November 2018 in the Shinjuku area. Don’t miss out!

The Church was born in the haydays of the 90s rock scene explosion of Stockholm and soon became the bar for bands like the Hellacopters, Backyard Babies, Entombed, Turbonegro, Soundtrack of our lives and the whole 90s boom of rock coming out of Sweden.
It was hosted by the legendary Father Eightball (who also hosted Stockholms jet set rockbar The Eightball Cub in the heart of Stockholm at Sture Compagniet.
Coming to Tokyo is the four cornerstone members of the Church of Rock n Roll, Father Eightball , Reverend D , Brother Dick, Sister Sin and the mystical Hellfire.

The history of the almost mythical Church of Rock n Roll is closely connected to the rock scene of Stockholm and Sweden. 
It was born as a reaction to the lack of cool bars and clubs. The bands needed a place to hang out. 
Hence The Church of Rock And Roll was formed in a murky little cellar bar in the midtown of Stockholm.
The club was expecting a few visitors the first night, but the place exploded and everybody was there and the place became the big talk of the town and a legend from day one.

The church was a crazy circus of rock and strange happenings. They had their own ceremonies, blessings and preaching by the Reverend D, nuns dressed in leather and latex and guest DJ´s like Dregen, Nicke Andersson and other rock stars from the Swedish rock scene. 

In the crowd was often seen the big stars like members from Motörhead, Cathedral, Turbonegro, Hellacopters, Iron Maiden, Backyard Babies, Supersuckers, Sator, the Nomads, Posies and R.E.M.
As the rumour spread the club often became the place for parties after the bands gigs and Father Eightball was suddenly hosting parties for bands like AC/DC, Kiss , Aerosmith, Rammstein, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Rolling Stones , Mötley Crüe, Black Sabbath, WASP, Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Rob Zombie & Pearl Jam.
